Explanation

Michael attempts to sway Sarah to believe him. Whats harder to believe, becoming emo or demonic possession.

     "Mike..." Sarah said quietly, coming in to the living room. "Yeah, what's wrong?" He asked, not lifting his head from the pillow. "Why did you help me...I thought you wanted me out of your life." She asked, standing in the dark hallway. "Do you want the truth, Sarah?" Mike asked. "Yes." She replied. "The truth is, no matter what i say or do, I really like you. I can't deny that. Just because you don't believe me, and pretty much never have-" "What do you mean 'never have'?" Sarah asked quickly, cutting him off. "Your boyfriend. How many times did I tell you that he is the biggest a*****e in our school?" He asked harshly. "And how many times did I tell you about alot of the people you hang out with? You blew it off like it was nothing, you never believed me!" He finished. All Sarah could do was hang her head in shame. He was right, she hadn't believed him and looking back, he was right about it all. Maybe he was telling the truth about this demonic possession thing. "Mike, maybe you should try an excorcism..." Sarah said quietly. "An excorcism? Why would I try that, and why would you suggest it?" He retorted. "Because...looking back, you were right. Everything you told me you were right about. So I think...I think you may be right about this too." Sarah replied.

 

     "Sarah...you do realize that until I take care of this demon...I won't be able to be seen with you. I just can't. If people find out you believe me, they'll think your crazy too. I don't want that to happen to you." Mike said over a breakfast of eggs and bacon. "I understand Mike. Once this all is worked out, then maybe we could...go out to a movie or something." Sarah replied. "I'd like that, but for now, we have to get working. Could you try and find an excorcist, i'm going to talk to John." Mike said, standing up and taking the plates to the sink. "I called him after our conversation. He should be coming over." Sarah said, handing Mike her plate. "Ok. Hopefully he'll understand like you did." "Yeah. Key word, 'hopefully'." Sarah said. "well, I think i'm going to go watch some TV." Mike said, strrtching as he stood. "I'll join you," Sarah agreed.

 

     The buzzer from the console rang and Mike walked over to it. "Yeah?" Mike asked into it. "It's John, you mind lettin me in?" A voice crackled from the other console. "Alright." Mike said, as he buzzed John up. "So what's so important that you called me here for?" John asked Sarah as he entered the apartment. "John, I believe Mike now. We're trying to find an excorcist to attempt to cleanse him of the demons." Sarah said. "Are you f*****g kidding me?!" John yelled from the door. "You believe this bullshit story of his?" "Yes, I do. Mike wouldn't lie to me John, and you know it."Sarah said pleadingly. "You gotta be kidding me. This is a joke right?" John said, freaking out. "This is no joke, John. This is reality. This stuff happens, and now it's happening to our best friend. Are you just going to sit idly by while this demon hurts Mike more and more?" Sarah said. her words had an impact on John that was unexpected. He fell back against the wall, slumped down, and cried. All Sarah and Mike could do was stare at him. They had never seen John this way, he was the macho type. He never let anything get to him. And now here he was, on the ground crying. "John, snap out of it." Mike snapped at his friend. "John, we all ned to be strong. We can help him through this. All we need to do is find an excorcist and have an excorcism done. We all need to be strong." Sarah said, holding her hand out to help John up.

 

     "Mike, John, come quick!" Sarah called from the small room Mike kept his computer in. Mike and John entered the room, barely able to fit, and looked at the computer monitor. A website was up for a group that preformed Paranormal investigations. "I figured they would know how to get in contact with an excorcist." Sarah said. "I already sent them an email, i'm hoping they'll get back to me soon.""Thanks Sarah, you've been a great help." Mike said said. "Well, I guess all we can do is wait, huh?" John asked. "Yeah, but soon this will all be over." Mike replied.
