A Story Called: Stay NightA Poem by King SleeplessPart 1: Birth
A never ending
dance For these partners
who lack feet A waltz as old as
time A family made of
three
The Father who
shines bright Leads the step, yet
never takes the lead And guides his
child through space and time With the Mother in
between
The Father loves
his child With heat and rays
and beams And the Mother
lights the darkness While the Father
seeks his sleep
At some time in the
dance The Child’s heart
would roam And soon its heart
found desire For children of its
own
And so the Child,
in mid dance Sought the
attention of the mother and father I, your little
dancer, seek your blessing To raise my own
sons and daughters
To the Child the Mother
asked Will your children
dance our dance? If
they want they may the Child would say If
they wish to learn, they can
But
the Father is perplexed The
Mother is also confused Our
dance is in sync with the flow of time What
else is there to do?
Oh
my beautiful Mother and Father This
may be hard to understand But
I shall not curse them with eternal routine They
shall live instead, by choices and by chance
Yet
we still may teach them Our
dance will still be key We
three will be a guiding force As
you two have been for me
Father
let your love be life In
the form of heat and rays and beams And
Mother, reflect my father’s love So
that my children have light even when he sleeps
And
I shall be flesh Their
blood and their bone Their
birthplace and grave Their
hope and their home
The
blessing was given And
from her mighty girth The
first children were born To
the mother we call Earth
