Hello, again. What a coincidence: I just posted my own poem on time/a new day. I too am one 'guilty of' obsession with the sun. :-)
I might send you a note tomorrow with some suggestions on it.
For now, please keep writing your thought-provoking question-based poetry. I enjoy the questions you ask, which many of us want to, but you do it first! :-)
You are so right, we are totally obsessed with the rising - and also the falling of the sun. And we like to paint, photograph, sing songs and write poetry about it. Whether we believe in worshipping it or not, we do seem to naturally. Without the sun, there would be no life, so maybe that's the secret to our fascination? We don't know much of how we or the sun got here, but we know it never fails. Thought provoking as ever Sir, and good to catch up with you here!
The King is here! One by one our group seems to be coming back together. This is a wonderful poem, comparing what is to what books say. It was natural for man to worship the sun before discovering that is was just a ball of gas. So man invented other gods and wrote books about them. "Whether the books are right or wrong I have no understanding to say the least, yet people aspire to see the sun rise again and again, day after day." Very well said!
