I AM

I AM

A Poem by J.M.Bethea

I am greatness
I am loving
I am caring
I am shy
I am kind
I am loyal
I am faithful
I am all you need
I am the right one
I am KingMeal

Now, that you know some of the things that I am, what are you?
Are you someone that enjoys putting on fake smiles to hide how you actually feel?
Are you someone that allows others to influence your image of someone?
Are you someone that would rather be hurt instead of happy?
Do you enjoy seeing others the way you wish, you could see yourself?
Do you enjoy watching couples on tv, doing things you wish could?
I know I may be getting ahead of myself, because you might be happy the way you are.
You may think that everything in your life is going great, and then…... BANG!!

Something goes wrong and no one is there to support you.
No one is there to tell you how special you are, and what you mean to them as a person.
No one to show you how great life could’ve been if you opened your eyes and gave them a chance.

I wrote this to let you know great people don’t stay around forever.
They soon move on, and spread their greatness to the world.
The only thing about that is behind every powerful man, there is an even more powerful women.

So, why not be my powerful women?
Why not help me spread knowledge to all the young people around the world?
Why not help me, no us, become greater together as one?
All I’m really asking is…..

Why not give me a chance?
Why not allow me to show you what real love is?
Why not allow me to wipe every tear that comes from your eyes?
Why not allow me to be the man that you could never find in these other boys?
Why not allow me to be your King?

Seriously, Why not??
