Chapter 6: Magic Armament

Chapter 6: Magic Armament

A Chapter by KingJoseph
"

This being is way too powerful! Ignorant as she may be, she was created with darkness that is magic and thus, she will receive retribution with the very magic that created her.

"

A sudden shot of thunder, roaring through the sky, was directed at me. Time did not even give me a moment to react. Charlestine appeared to my side, shielding me with a mere hand block and she was able to redirect the thunder.

“Stop watching like a helpless fool! Either you make yourself useful as you say you were in the army, or tuck your tail and get the hell out.”

Charlestine screamed as she slapped me to my senses.

I caught a glimpse of the summoned figure, in which from my perspective, seemed like a young girl. She wore a tattered shirt, she was pale in skin color and had jet black hair but the most peculiar feature were her golden eyes. A bright color yet almost sorrow, as if she screamed for help. I’m not about to wait for salvation, I have to take action into my own hands.

“Charlestine, help me seal her movement, I will handle the rest!”

Charlestine gave a bold sigh before she retrained the demon. She swiftly appeared behind the demon before it could shoot another blast and hand locked the girl sealing her hands and tilting her head to redirect any possible blast diagonal from my direction.

“Activate, battle mode! Serial code #190578, Unlock Magical Armament: Magical Chains and Magical Gun! Invoke the contract, heed my voice code.”

I had then entered into battle mode. I had sent a chain connecting my left hand to a sturdy monument for a firm grasp of position. The right chain that went through the hole of my sleeve had been sent to wrap the body of the entity to seal her movements and give me a firm aim on my target. The girls struggle made it really hard to aim, she had disrupted my form as well. She was way stronger than I thought.

            “Pft, talk about pathetic!”

Charlestine sighed once more, giving rise to multiple hands from the ground which grasped the girl, making for a stronger binding! The magic these two use defy the concept of our magic, perhaps I too can use them, I will have to ask Charlestine later but right now I must finish my job. I pointed my gun at her, firmly locking on and ready to shoot. I spat out unrefined Magic to the gun in order to create a singular, horizontal blast. The way this works is a mere application of Ancient Magic plus Present Magic or Modern Magic. Ancient Magic is applied through the direct use of the sources’ high energy which is needed to overpower the enemy. Present Magic makes it controllable, allowing this blast to be aimed and controlled to become a singularity.

“A being like you should not exist. Although I have no right to exact retribution, I take upon this sin to remove you from this wretched hell. An eye for an eye, light for darkness and magic to magic. Come undone!”

I had blasted at her hoping that she could no longer feel anymore. Magic to magic, she had received her life at the cost of others, though indirect, darkness is darkness and no less. She deserves to be punished as much as the people who created her. Hesitation leads to waste, let thy see the end of her short lived life and may she dream of the salvation she never once received.
