One day I
was meeting up with my friend Kevin, and I wanted us to explore the abandoned
trail. “So where is this?” asked Kevin curiously. “Oh the old trail it’s about
a mile South.” I said. “Do we really have to walk a full mile?” said Kevin
lazily. “Fine then I’ll go by myself!” I said hoping he’ll eventually agree.
“Fiiiine I’ll go just give me a second.” He said entering back in to his house.
I waited, it didn’t take him long. He had a backpack, his skateboard, and two
sodas. “Here, take one.” He said offering me one. “Thanks” I said cracking open
the can. “So what’s the pack for?” I asked. “It’s empty but I’m hoping for it
to be full when we get back.” He replied. He lived slightly out of town so it
made our journey to the trail seem a lot longer. While we were arriving I heard
Kevin yell out something, “Hey is that the entrance to the trail?” “Yeah that’s
it all right” I replied. “Damn its blocked off!” I said getting angry. Hey
maybe we can go over it?” Kevin suggested. We tried going over it but there was
nowhere to grab onto besides easily broken tree branches. “Maybe we can go
through?” Kevin suggested another idea. “Hopefully” I said. We looked for an
opening somewhere but neither of us couldn’t find one. “Maybe we can break
through?” I suggested. “Are you crazy?! We can’t do that it’s against the law!”
He shouted. “Don’t yell it to loud!” I said hoping he’ll quiet down. “Hand me
that thick branch.” I asked Kevin. “Here you go milord.” Kevin said trying to
be funny. “Thanks peasant.” I said joking back at him. “Hey! Just get the damn
thing over with I want in already. I started to pry open a loose piece of metal
fencing. It popped off. “Hey look at Mr. Criminal over here!” Kevin said trying
to get my attention.
