I CRY FOR AFRICAA Poem by KingBaylesTHE CONTINENT IS BLEEDING AND NOTHING IS HAPPENING TO HELP ELEVATE THE PAIN.
"Vote me in my people!
I will be better than any you have had as a predecessor. Let us join and fight for our freedom, Let us do away with this man who's our oppressor. For with me at the helm, I will rule so fairly this kingdom." why are we myopic, and idiotic, yet so isotopic? We suffer because we are forced to decide, We suffer because we choose not in the present reside. We pay the price of picking a side, Yet we celebrate them when they win with pride. But, sadly we forget the type of ride, That we have picked, till we begin the downward slide. Consolidated are their powers, How they do it everybody wonders. How they even quickly forget, everyone ponders. Yet they go to bed with their life's plunders Ready to slain any soul that is ready to stand as their contenders. We no longer cry tears' our faces today cant express our fears. We sadly hope that the murky lurking stench of death clears And the loud sounds of the guns to stop their blares yet this is just what we hope, many of us can no longer cope. The UN says its beyond their scope, Yet these leaders can afford to far away lope. and away they go unscathed, with our promised futures they elope, leaving us stuck, with no way to climb back up the muddy slope so the cycle continues Taxes will be mounted on us to earn them revenues no room to protest, since the system has done away with all the avenues for recourse, no detinue, all of us left to be political retinue so the country bleeds from the sole actions of an individual protected by his deeds Say No! and your life for you pleads Say YES! and you partake in the evil proceeds and these are what we have planted as seeds As Hate, Corruption, War and Embezzlement, we s meticulously cultivate as our core needs. © 2016 KingBaylesAuthor's Note
