The Pursuit of Madness

The Pursuit of Madness

A Poem by King Nothing

Chasing your silhouette in the fading horizon,

Where the purple sunset merges within the sea of darkness,

Desperately scuttling to cling on to my last hope,

But the distance grew longer by mocking my madness.

Searching for you in every deserted meander,

Eager to touch you with passion ignited,

Boarding the waves and suffering the plummet,

Searing from the abyss, by your dreams incited.

Insanity, love, introspection and ingenuity. I'd like to see this piece expanded upon and a whole soul ripped out to the page.
