FAITH REVISITED

FAITH REVISITED

A Poem by King Nothing

Life is good when we believe,

Believe something with all our heart.

Belief fires enthusiasm with all its might,

And enthusiasm explodes into passion,

It invigorates our souls and lifts our spirits,

It enlivens our life with newer pursuits.

I like to believe that someday our paths will cross again,

I will stand in front of you again,

Life will give us a second chance,

And I will hold your hands again.

I will make up for the times gone by,

I will make up for the silent sigh,

I will make up for the defeated hopes,

I will make up for the harmless lie.

But the truth still remains

Whether I think I can,

Or I think I can’t...

I’m right.

The centralized alignment gives the poem a distinct shape .... a man with a hat .... the hat for me signifies the burden of beliefs that we always carry around with us which gives us hope for a better tomorrow.

Looking for ways to bring meaning into my life by knowing that I'm fighting a losing battle. 27 years have gone by and the meaning still eludes me; the pain of which is not apparent in the eyes of .. more..
