Hopelessness is Happiness

Hopelessness is Happiness

A by Kindra JOY

Live without hope.

Hope is a lie

Hope is procrastination.

Hope is what stops us from doing what we truly want to do.

With hope available we think of what we should do rather than actually doing what we should do.

Hope allows us to live in a habitual present while staring into a bright never coming future, which blinds us to the importance of now.

A unique and thought-full insight...

Hope is only good if we strive to what we hope for. If we don't it becomes nothing more than a wish. A fantasy. And there is a fine line between hope and fantasy.

A marvelous bit of thought. Easy to read and yet thought provoking. I enjoy the idea of using the term hope in such a way... Making it sound nothing more than a wish. For truth be told, many people use hope as nothing more than a wish. I know I did when I was younger.

I always like to make a suggestion, so here it goes: I would like it more if you did touch on the differences between hope and a wish. Because hope isn't just wanting something and not doing anything about it. Hope is when you put an application out for the hundredth time and realistically you have to know they won't hire you, but you do it anyways because you only have hope left.
Whereas if you're not careful with hope it turns into a wish. And a wish is something you want to be true but do nothing to achieve. But, what's a word but a description for what we already know?

M. Super

P.S. Points for writing about something actually thought provoking. That's what poetry's about, my friend!
