A Poem For EmilyA Poem by A Watcher In TimeJust something I wrote for a very special lady.If we ever got around to living forever I’d complain that we didn’t have enough time Should we find the garden of Eden and you’re not there I’d call it the stupidest place I’d ever seen When I gain everlasting power And I will, The first person to gain infinite wealth is you. I’d steal the whole nations treasury for you I’d battle a million Rancor for you Theres not a thing that could keep me away from you. So lets take the chance on this one thing One promise to each other thats horrifying Fight our demons again Challenge Death to arm wrestling Whatever it is, lets do it together No? Break my heart Stomp on the contents And burn it for good measure I would have the honor of saying that a goddess snapped me in two I’d pull myself together again just for you I’m at your beck and call Just ask and it’s done Tea? Hot and steaming. Blanket? Love? You and I will have a whole nebula One that forms something awesome Like a dodecahedron It’ll be our place in the universe to be as gods Or at least something cool to look at By day you may be mortal But the moment the sun sinks you rise On wings that I’ll make from the feathers of Icarus It’ll be my gift to you My love My dear Just keep me in your life I’ll keep you in mine, and together we’ll be some kind of nature I love you. © 2015 A Watcher In TimeAuthor's Note
