Almost

Almost

A Poem by KindaCursed
"

This is my first attempt at a sonnet.

"

He whispered tender words into my ear,

while fingers traced the edges of my lips.

Those haunting thoughts were the sweetest I‘d hear.

Brief romance preceded a farewell kiss.

Foolhardy me, I just thought of could be

because it could have, should have been so much.

But now us is a solitary me.

He was almost everything. I miss his touch.

There is this fine line, between all and none

and I cannot help but dream about him

because he was almost my only one.

Until he just left on a simple whim.

I will be fine once I don’t want him near

but he was almost my world, my sweet dear.
