Chapter 1: Katie

Katie Foster was 17 when she met him. She was playing her current favorite game, Lord of Ultimo, when she decided she needed help. She had been busy so hadn't played the game in a while and now her city was in ruins and had no supplies or money to rebuild it so she needed some help, she popped up the server chat and sent a message out to the whole of the server population. ‘Haven't played in a while, city wrecked, no supplies or money. Someone help?’ She sighed and lent back. ‘This is going to take a while’, she thought and went to stand when her laptop beeped telling her she had gotten a reply. ‘Hey, all_knowing_girl, I can give you some help if you like?’ Katie looked at the username ‘monkey_man’. ‘Not a bad name, if you like monkeys’, she thought. ‘Yeah, okay thanks monkey_man’, she sent back. ‘PM me’, he said. She did exactly that. She had heard a few rumors going around about a player with the same username who was a bit of a legend. He had broken all of the records of the game, his city was almost untouchable and he only helped people who caught his attention, and apparently she had. She didn't realize just how much attention he would soon be paying attention to her.
