A woman who wants to be seen for who she is rather than how she looks...

Look at me
and what do you see?
speak the truth, if only to you
Within my eyes
do you see my lies?
my chocolate brown hair-
does it make you compare?
Tell me: am I the Rose,
hand carved beauty
Or the quiet Lilly
Silently waiting.
Caramel brown skin; to whom am I kin?
common beauty.
Am I another weed among flowers?
do I last the hours
imperfection. Flaws, scars that make one cower
Am I a Rose
confident and outstanding
or a Lilly
Silent and by standing
Quiet beauty
just another weed...
someone no one can ever really see
Speak the truth, and look at me
tell me what you really see...

This write makes me pause into a frozen silence. It sinks deeply within, yet brings me no thoughts or words.
For some reason I just want to let it seep into my subconscious and let it grow there.

I enjoyed this very much. I enjoy the place it takes me too. Hum...... I wonder what will grow from this.
Maybe it's something for the subconscious? Maybe it's meant to bring it there...

Hm(?), what do I "really" see?
I see a very alive, warmblooded, sweet-hearted, deeply feeling, caring and giving, skilled and generously sharing, brilliant poetess, whom I've always adored and loved for her kind, understanding, and appreciative reviews, and it's because of You I am so often sweetly rewarded, gratified, and made to feel sooo happily blessed to share my poetry.
You're a marvelously elegant lady-poet (and, very pretty, too) who has captured my heart and attention over and over again … I am so very-very proud to say I know and enjoy you, your poems, comments, and warmly inspiring reviews.
