Damned

A hermit is sitting in his cave watching people walk by. He's seeing people get hurt hearing the pain filled cries and he says his maddened thoughts aloud

The light unto the soul
the key is to the mind
Answers which you seek-
Can only come with time.
Experience
Live
Learn
what others could only yearn
Life is the ocean which cannot be tamed
Time is the river that will not reverse
this is a truth
one can only claim.
He walks the lonely path of mortality
a short golden rope filled with beauty
this sharp silver needle filled with despair
Take into your hand the balance-
of choice and desire...
for it can consume yourself as a fire
The painful path of humanity
the fragile sands count against him
in your hand lay want and need
What shall his decision be?
by the tender heart of man...
who can take the blame
for the sins of the Damned?
