Voice

Voice

A Poem by Kimberley
"

A rhyming poem

"

Voice.

I've cried myself to sleep,

I've told myself don't weep.

I didn't listen to the voice who told me that.

Although it should have been the right thing to do,

I only thought I wanna be with you.

I'm gonna count to ten and breath slow,

Only so my eyes won't show.

I'm gonna rely on the few persons that I love,

so I will soon be above.

That voice I should have listened to,

Was silenced by my love for you.

It is so pretty. So simple yet so powerful.

Great Poem. There's a lot of feeling in there. I sure felt it!

Beautifully written. Being seperated from those you love, be it by death or unavoidable circumstances, is painful. Your words make the reader feel that pain.
