Stand

Stand

A Poem by Kimberlea

Find a woman who accepts your sins
Tackle all of your demons and win
Willing to stand where others have stood
But will stay and fight with you for good
Be strong and step in when you drop the ball
Lift you up and carry it all
Forget her needs just to make sure
You are loved, safe and secure
Be gracious and let you be the head
A queen knows it's okay to be led
She is happy to see you prevail
But believes in you even when you fail
This woman's heart is yours to take
Her knees may bend but she'll never break.

Like your positivity in these words. This is the woman I strive to be everyday. Someone is going to lead you whether you want to think of it that way or not. Why give more respect to your boss than your husband? Because he pays you? No! The woman you describe is my Momma and my Grandmother. My Momma used to say, "You have to lean on them on one side and prop them up on the other." lol
