A note from ...a Stranger

A note from ...a Stranger

A Poem by Kimberly Smith

Last night I laugh so hard that I choked

Last night was funny only he and I got the joke

Last night he played me a song but only I heard the tune

Last night black musical notes surrounded us like a cartoon

Last night we talked until the sun reminding us of reality

Last night I escape my mortality

Its morning and now it’s time to say our goodbyes

Hair a mess still wrapped up in sheets

I'll watch you leave

With the cold still in your eyes

-Stranger

Interesting, I like the dead space in this poem. The mysteriousness of a stranger is a experience all in it's own. There is excitement, fear, lust and want. The want is to be wanted, accepted for who we are at that moment, not who we are for real. I see your want.
