Mother Patricia

Mother Patricia

A Poem by Kurt K Watz
"

While I was serving in the Marine Corps back in 2012, my mother passed away from Alzheimer's disease at 55 years old. This is my first poem.

"
If I had one day with you mother
I would hold you and cry tears of joy
nothing could keep your love from fading
you are my favorite person in this life

Even as you lost who you were
desperately holding on to see me grow
I was to far across the land to see
the life and love you held lost inside

In your last hours loving strangers were there
only one was missing, and you cried for him
Son where is my little boy?
he did not make it whys he not here?

I wish I could've told you
I loved you one last time
you were my best friend
you were the coolest woman

I force a smile knowing all the times I told you
even when you did not recognize my face
I understand you had to leave
as this was no longer your place

Mother your love burns bright
brighter than any ever shone
it's a show colors never seen
your spirit is one of compassion

I release you to the unknown knowing you exist
that you'll bring love wherever it's needed
We are together mother we are all together

Love always, Moose

About
Down to earth most of the time, but can be pretty eccentric. I don't care how arrogant you don't realize you are, in my opinion writing is for everyone who loves to do so. more..
