I Am What I Will Become.A Poem by Firefly
I am new, new to a world
Born at the beginning. I am merely a child of eighteen Years with the sense of False confidence that is falling with Every blow of time I take. A fence, with iether peoples on The sides opposing eachother. All born from the same ancestory But different opinions worth dying for, But no idea what is worth living for. I am a novice to living but A master of death, like all others, It comes so easy to anybody Risking their lives to avoid it. Heartbrake and pain, all are new. But in years to come, they shall Become the inconvinience of each PassIng day. This house will no longer be my home, I shall trade roof for roof as my life Carries along it's path. My highs and lows shall grow In number with things gained And lost, with the birth of a family I will be obligated to, as i call it my own. My life will be worth much. But for the moment i must Content with my place, Proving my place among the Many who have shown their worth Time and time again. As my years become more numerous With the annual rationing of my youth And my body becomes weaker and my Mind learns it's power, I will earn the rite To belong. © 2013 FireflyReviews
