But this is my life

You can't tell me how to lead it

Its the path I have to walk

"Theres (There's) somethign (something) about this" "Its(It's) the path I have to walk" And I feel you. My parents were the exact same way. But they gave up by the time I was 17. I think you should challenge yourself in your poetry. I want to see one in iambic pentameter!

But you are trying and that is really all that you can do. To be honest this poem upsets me a little. To be pushed and pushed only causing harm, the ending result being somewhat tragic. I do not understand why some people want to mold us, control us, enclose us. We are always at our best when we are allowed to be ourselves, learn from our own mishaps, struggle on our own two legs. If we are shoved to far all we want to do is rip the hair out of our heads, pushed near insanity. A great write, Shawn. One that so very, very many can relate too.

You are right, we each have a path to walk to become our whole self. However, it behooves us to do it with grace and love. (And if all else fails, bide your time and then get the H*** out of the situation!)
