Lost friend among stone tablets

Lost friend among stone tablets

A Poem by Killian
"

Again, same deal

"

and as the time on the clock ticks away our hearts beat longingly for our dear friend

she was once a part of the very walls that surround our souls, but now she is free among larger stone tablets, covered with gleaming reflections of sky, and street

pain fills the bones of her once dear friend from the south, aching for the chance to see the reason smiles danced on his face...once

she sits among the waves of faces in a new plane, thinking of days past, looking to nights ahead, and though they are worlds apart they feel the same

empty...

until her path crosses her over persia, into promised land, where there is much joy and pleasure, land of her findings.

But her friend sits back from old world, with only faint recollections, of her, how sad he has become, to fill the halls with rivers of his invisible tears,

the other is but a sailor on the river flowing wildly to dry the land of the longing water from the friends eyes, there is much to be done and much to be mended for what once was a dynasty is now but dust beneath feet

the last two can only speak of times past, and form alliances with the biggest and the one who laughs without laughing, but these two can not fill the void left by their dear friend

and so with words the two express their ache and pain for their loss of body

but must comply with her decision

must be greater to rise to occasion

comply only with their own desires

with fist held high their journey unfolds

her distant memory serving as their guide to make their own

decision.
