Timeless

Timeless

A Poem by Daniel

An astronaut drifting through outer space,

Looking up; the street lamps shine upon her face

Miles beyond her view, the astronaut dances in the starry sky

On the street, her heart ebbs with every tear she cries

Above the atmosphere he dreams of days long past,

And she walking far below, counting to the last

As his tears fall in the infinite silence,

She awakes to hear him whisper, “timeless…”
