Street Lights

Street Lights

A Poem by Daniel

Street Lights

The driveway dreams of moonlit skies

Of open roads and mountain highs

Where the snow can lay and lick the ground

Where the wind can blow over, through the town

The driveway sleeps under the mirrored ocean

With the gas lights shining and cold erosion

The driveway soul sleeps in the hard, and within

The driveways thoughts are gone, but still listen

In the valley and down the road

You'll find the driveway cold and alone

As it absorbs the anger of street light claws

The agonized driveway, looks for the meaning, as it cries and calls

Just a few couple of hours earlier, I was screaming in my mind for writing a poem on or about streets because a few couple of hours earlier, I was walking thought the streets and some street're very dark without street-lights .. and see! Now am reading even I read a great piece on street lights. That's, I think, A co-incidence to me.
Anyway ... this poem's well penned again with your great rhyme, I really love your rhyming flow you used in your poems because your poems're a bit seemed as the great songs. A word you used "Driveway" in your poem seemed much impressive and played a great role into the write because how you started the poem with this world's extremely appreciable as well as enjoyable reading!
So, I'd say, "keep up the great work, Man!" I enjoyed reading your stuffs!
