Sinful mortalA Poem by M.Kilani
Now I can sleep, now I can die Now I can fall breathless and lie For I have reached them God’s shores For my mind in sin it soars
Underneath dust of the sky A mourn turns to laughter then a sigh Again in black fields, what are the odds In one crowded place I have found my gods
And I sigh in joy and in silence I stand The golden hour of ancient sand And the dawn of holy ghost I was found, I was never lost
I found a sigh I found a cry I found a soul that dies to try A crow and sparrow Of now and tomorrow
And all pauses of time A sound of another mime There under transparent disguise Where hell falls from the skies
I found lonesome I found disperse I found demons for me to posses I found cure and death within I found more beneath the skin
For each wrong question I found an answer Spreads in my mind like curing cancer There under sky of dust There under light of lust
Satan take me to the deepest of hell I’ve seen a dawn that none can tell I’ve seen life, I’ve seen death I’ve seen poverty I’ve seen wealth
But never I’ve seen eyes of night Fade away all other lights For god sent me a light of my own A light of colors never were shown
Strike me thunder if I was wrong Or rain don’t fall to my song Open your arms and welcome me death For that was my last mortal breath © 2012 M.KilaniAuthor's Note
