Sons of July

Sons of July

A Poem by M.Kilani

Do they think the same, all sons of July

Do they think the same, never sleep never die

Forever awake till the dawn

Forever and never special is alone

Strong till the end, a brother not a friend

To forget more than to know

And a smile at the end, free again and dead

Die, just to end the show

Do they do the same, sons of July

Smile and pretend to hide the will to die

Or hope for another reality

Where everyone is free

And none is left alone

To the goddess of the dawn

To devils of the night

The walkers of the night

Replace reality with missing identity and a heart full of tar

Half open doors, no desire for more

Once you had it all you wait and more you stall

Do they hide away from death

Do they deny their own pain

Just to look sane

Forever young do they wish to be

Believe in god and blasphemy

Paradox of destiny

Do they run away from life are they afraid to fall

Do they feel the same, sons of July

Or do we feel it all.

I like the questions raised by this poem. Allow the reader to think and wonder. Thank you for a excellent poem.

Very deep questions proposed...an exscellent poem

The concept of this poem is really good, but it needs some editing or grammer checking or something.

I like the desperation in it, the well-rounded moral of hope vs. choas.
