Wild horses

Wild horses

A Poem by M.Kilani

She runs all around me

As if I wasn’t there

Like the sounds of ocean

With a touch of despair

Black hair covers horizon

And eyes as round as sun

And all I can do is sigh and breathe

And away I should run

Leave her freely, leave everything

I walk back home as the sun fades away

She’s like wild horses

Through the winds and sand

Runs around human being

She’s like wild horses

She won’t understand

All the words I would sing

Wild horses

Scared of a lonely man

Of a tattoo on a ring

She might stand beside me

But her heart I can’t tame

A cigarette needs a fire

And she’d fear the little flame

I will kneel down and pray for everything

I will pray for her to run away

Wild horses

Running in wasteland

Of my broken heart, again

She’s like wild horses

And I’m just a lonely man

With his pride and his pain

Wild horses

Eyes so black

That tattooed everything.

I found this very heartbreaking, because it is so very, very true. Parts of it resound with a musical quality, so much that I could hear the dark and somber strums of an acoustic guitar in my mind. I love the way your words seem to materialize as I read them. Excellent (as per usual).

That was amazing. I could picture a shore beneath omnious cloud-smudged skies, a beautiful woman, and lots of long black hair.
"Like the sounds of ocean
With a touch of despair,"

-A touch! Yes it's all that makes up your poem. Like a delicate but impulsive artwork leaning against an easel.

"And all I can do is sigh and breathe
And away I should run,"

-It's hard to picture a person running with hopeless sighs, and he might have just snuck away, but fear from the, beauty or blazing eyes makes it easy to want to scamper fast and away..

"A cigarette needs a fire
And she’d fear the little flame,"

-Other than the veyr little percent I left vacant for the sake of any possible improvement, I find this piece almost flawless! The beginning pulled me in and the rhymes are clever yet simple! Just the way I like them. The flow is very natural, and tends to ebb and gently rock like the evening ripples of the sea. Loved the scent of salt, sand, sadness and intimidation in this poem. Thank you for the request. Keep it up. ;] 95.

I like this quite a bit...very relatable and nicely worded. I like how the author seems resigned to accept the nature of the girl of his affection. Key element in love most can't grasp...

I love it!!! It has a nice flow. I love the stanza She might stand beside me, but her heart I cannot tame, A cigarette needs a fire, and she'd fear the little flame.

Emotionally deep and perfect, getts at the heart of human desires, tremendous :)

A beautiful poem. We should not desire to tame another. To kill the desire for freedom would leave then a empty shell. I like the flow and the story in this poem. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
