A Poem by M.Kilani

Where to, dear rain

Away? Or am I to stay here

Same vintage pain

Or sorrow of this year

To clouds as my old

To crowds of wasted years

To the corners of the road

Watching headlights, and their tears

Where to, old time

Away from the shining sun

To blacken the heart of mine

And lead the road of none

And trees; touching skies

Would you be always there

Or that is ought to die

For Just, but Unfair

Where to, cold night

Would you escape my dawn

Would we keep on this fight

You and your stars, and I … alone

And you burning sighs

Where would you be

Keeping in my cries

Or just abandon me

No I’m not lost

Nostalgia I do not feel

Fingers under frost

Needs to write and heal

Don’t point or raise your hand

No need to through a rope

I found the distant land

In being drunk on hope

This is very raw and full of such strained emotion. This is one of my favorite poems by you. I love how you associated weather with emotions. Beautiful

A interesting poem. I like the desire to understand the journey and road to some kind of peace.
"No I’m not lost
Nostalgia I do not feel "
I like the ending. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
