Unforgettable (Every time)

Unforgettable (Every time)

A Poem by M.Kilani

Every time I see your tears

In my reflection

Dies a year in lament

Of how I am

Every time I seek a path

In your direction

Still, I stand for a moment

Then turn back

I thought I’ve forget

I know we’re apart

But still I yearn

I wish you were with me

Every time I hear my sighs

Breaking the silence

And image of what could’ve been

Passes my eyes

Every time I see a new face

Far from a distance

I wish it was yours

Then I fall back

You haunt me within

You tare me apart

True it hurts

But it keeps me alive

Every time I see my skin

Left and abandoned

I curse my fate

For you’re not in my arms

Every time I hear my voice

Weeping in rhythm

I can’t help but to remember

And oblivion I lack

For you are …

Someone …

I hate to forget

This sounds like a song to me. And love the idea of having someone so present but so far; it gives the feeling of love some drama, pain, darkness and intensity. great poem =)

Last line is fact. Hard to forget someone we loved. Woman or family leave a scar forever. I like the description and the ending. Some decisions are needed. But mind and heart may not be content. A excellent poem.
