Untitled, willingly

Untitled, willingly

A Poem by M.Kilani

Why so cold?

Why so dark?

Why am I so cold!

You didn’t bother to ask

Abandoned and alone

Awake till dawn

By everyone whom I miss

I’m left to distress

Do I have to bleed

In order to need

A friend in deed

No I think not

Alone in the spot

No comforting sound

No crowds around

All are gone

Even the sun

For I didn’t ask

For I had no mask

And you came from the dead

Than despair you gave hope instead

And you hung me with a thread

Foot up a head

Did I ever make you cry

Urged you to die

Didn’t I make you smile

Even for a while

Then, why so cold?

Hit me with a fact

Why was I cold!

How couldn’t I react

Still I don’t know

Still you don’t show

Stay or let go

Another crowd, another show

Although I asked you to stay

Forgive and forget

Before we regret

And drawn in dismay

All I can say is that I've tried

Put my ego aside

Still I can't understand

And I leave it all in your hands

Joy or despair

I'll always be there!!

I’ll always be strong

Silence among the songs

Yearn, lament, or long

Yet, for how long

I like how you went head strong with the poem. Repetition and pattern helped it flow very smoothly. Although not really one for rhyming poems... They feel like restraints to reaching your fullest potential. Anyway, good poem, very heart felt and easy to connect to. Keep sending me those read requests

This is emotionally stunning!
A great poem hon! One that renders the reader with a little hope, we all have to take that balance of what is considered the ebb and flow of life:)
Excellent work

Although Im not a fan of poems where all four lines rhyme I like the way this flows.

Well written.
