Lifetime

A Poem by M.Kilani

Lifetime

How can I never cry

When I’m the one who can’t defy

The only one whom gods deny

Lost sight in one eye

While in the other hope is left to die

(I am the victim of a dead friendship )

Shattered is the heart of I

My smile is fake and my joy is a lie

As I stand still to their goodbye

How can I smile oh my .. oh my

(The son of the unborn love )

Hard it is for a wounded eagle to fly

With a stone over my chest still I sigh

Broken are my knees still I try

How long can I walk oh my .. oh my

(The essence of pain)

Oh heavenly god why to not comfy

I’m all alone to the stones I lie

I sell my tears but no one to buy

(The solitude and lonesome )

How much can I bleed oh my .. oh my

I bleed on sand and sand I cry

Still I am cursed never I asked why

(The sickness and the health)

I am the suffocation after every breath

Healed I’ll be by death

As I can’t live anymore

Done I am from war

(The old man, is I)

I, the wounded eagle in the sky

I hold my white flag and fall to die

Yes I surrender, yes I bleed and cry

(I am a lifetime)
