Dear Diary

Dear Diary

A Poem by M.Kilani

I hate you my diary, hate you with each and every page

With every page I fill … closer I come to be dead

Why don't you get older in age

Instead of me, then I would skip the end

You held my anger, joy, sadness, and rage

Held names of my beloved, my enemy, and my friend

I know you set me free, you got me out of the cage

But are you worth the time of writing all time that I spend

I hate you my diary, to you my words can't be fake

I hate the fact that you hold what is true

Wait for my death, wait the god for my soul to take

You are my only friend in times of solitude

You didn't judge me for any mistake

You didn't ask me when, why, or who

But still my heart does break

When I read the me in you

I like this very much. But I like more the sense I got of having and dealing with the inner diary more than the written. Written is the reflexion of ourselves, but the inner diary is the most complicated in this case. Very good poem! Lots of feeling here, a lot!!!

Those old words and memories can bring back pain and hurt. A very good poem. I like the emotion and feel of the poem. A excellent poem.

Good job! Even when we write nice, sweet things in our diary, reading it back to ourselves later always gets us choked up. I like what you did with this. Your title, though, should read, "Dear Diary," not "Dear Dairy."

I wrote a poem called "Dear Diary"
Though I think our views on it were different
I do like yours much much more
Mine was kind of well I was just forcing myself to write when I wrote it...
Nice job though I like this

this is exactly what i was hoping this poem would be about when i read the title, and you've expressed it to an excellent degree imo, one that excels the flow and passion and embodies a raw truth, you've done a great job here

Ah..yes...
Whenever I read my old diaries...it is painful and amusing to see the progression of time..the changes in thought..personality..styles of writing...
You have taken me away into a set of thoughts that I myself have thought ..though I could never voice them so eloquently as You, here, have :)
