An excellent poem with a wonderful flow. I must agree with you although I can and will only speak for myself. I have always thought of myself as a bit odd, with the torturing of women and all. However, I think I do it all for the poetry, the ability to take the woman's life then immortalize them in their worst pain.
It's exhilirating.

Matthew

A great write, and an interesting theme....If we aren't to find love, yet won't be the object of hate, that only leaves the miserable mediocre area in the middle which is no fun at all. Thank you for sharing it with us...
ha ha,i came by this ,never knowing i already reviewed,i had to say this few things more
some you told right, even though, how i always loved a poet with all the follies
how they stand far from real life, still i adored what she had to say
how she makes the world so beautiful, like gardens of Eden
at least she takes me away for my pains, she heals, what scars
i collect allover the days, and i come to her, just for relief
for in her words i live and i rather die,for whatever she is
she is the magic i always looked for all over the years
lovely write..
An apt write! "Never love a poet"--I love that idea. For we are but maskers of the truth, winding our way through a world observing and then preserving our visions as we see them. I quite liked this. I'm not usually much for repetition in a poem, but it worked well for you here I think.

I am a poet and I, for one, quite enjoy being loved. Nevertheless this is very true. Poets don't hind anything; it's all there on paper, but we're still a little bit bonkers. That's alright, though, because if the person really loves you they'll get over it. Besides, normal people are boring!
Arrivederci!
