Placelessness

Placelessness

A Poem by M.Kilani

Back to the shades, to darkness the place where I belong

Back to a place where silence means more than any song

Back to my cold breath, my dead eyes, and my pale skin

Hatred, greed, anger, lust, and filth are all within

Back to the place that gave me the nightmare of my life

It gave me a corner, hopelessness, a wrist and a knife

Suicidal… I'm sick of being immortal, and I'm afraid of the dawn

Between all those people…I'm by myself yet not alone

Yes I'm back to my ugly place

Mask of joy has worn my face

Only my shadow I embrace

Why mask of joy? …grace... Only grace

Sunshine of you I'm shy

After casting all the truth … now I lie

Afraid of death I used to never sleep

Asleep forever I wish to be … as the wounds now are deep

Sunshine… my words now I deny

No more I believe in "Never sleep Never die"
