FantasyA Poem by M.KilaniAnd I’m still awake Another dawn about to break And I still breath into the night And await for the sun light Only to retain her scent To remember each second we spent Still I stare to the darkness I gaze into the air And I dream as I strangle like a doll in her hair And I think as I drink And I mourn as I sink Was she too blind to see “What about me? “ And I light one more cigarette To remember her sparkling eyes As I smoke packs so I don’t forget And to forget the way she cries And I’ll turn all rainbows To match her smile I’d give away my elbows And walk thousands of miles And I’ll light her all candles With the fire of my heart How much would it handle If it’s ripped apart I’ll play her all the songs All music that she longs And sing her till she sleep I’ll never make her weep And take her tears away For her I shall pray She’ll be my cigarettes and wine Too bad she isn’t mine All I’m left with is a memory As I drown in my fantasy Too bad I’m not meant to be © 2012 M.KilaniFeatured Review
