Life …
As
humans we fail to have a multi-perspective views although facts are
displayed to all we manage to ignore many and hold to few, the truth is
there deep within our minds, we all see it clearly; we accept it, deny
it or even erase it from our memories, like recognizing a person we
love in a crowd of familiar faces, we seek facts that complete our
souls; moreover minds...perfectly natural I say, otherwise humans
would've been gods, but after all they are god-made.
“What is life to you?” I’ve been asked, and here are some of my answers from different perspectives;
A chain reaction of every choice we make a matrix of every move,
thought, and emotion, where each of the former is a result of what
precedes.
On the other hand life can be a dilemma that needs to be solved, a dark
room that needs to be enlightened, perhaps a test for human mind, body
and soul.
Yet life can be some kind of replay, I mean a recorded tape, just like
movies, where every person is a character directed into its own story
whit others as a background for its plot, where no one has a choice to
change one’s destiny.
Or could it be an organized chaos where emotions, actions, and people
run into each other without any kind of arrangement creating that
matrix where everything seems to be normal for one to see.
Life can be also time; seconds, minutes and hours that are spent, regardless to what events may occur in between.
In addition that life , moreover living beings might be a chain of
chemical reactions creating physical actions or reactions , which may
sound scientific yet might be wrong ; as various elements combine to
create everything that exist , except for thoughts , emotions and
memories and all untouchables.
Yet when it comes to the human life, it can be the mass of experiences
inherited by our fathers, as a result of an evolution that started to
change the fact that the human are originally cavemen , not apes , as
humans rebel against their past , to create what is believed to be the
endless future .
All what I mentioned so far makes life sound reasonless as the matrix
will be repeated , and the dilemma may never be solved , and if it was
then there will be no gain of living it , and if it was a must where
one can’t change own destiny then no need for it to be lived , and if
it was chaos then nothing would ever makes sense , until it get’s
organized which leads it to become a matrix , and the matrix will
become a must , if it was a matter of time , time is endless , then
life shall be endless to , therefore death is the end of life in other
words end of time which is supposed to be endless , however if it was
chemical reactions or physical actions it will become endless as well ,
as every actions has a reaction , lastly , if life was about human
experience and the endless future , then it would become a person which
disagree with the rebel human .
At
the pointlessness of life we would barely refuse a moment of joy; even
if after a while forgotten, we laugh, we try, we cry and we die
(Mennirnir elska, missa, grata og sakna)... all becomes meaningless once
we have a bigger portion of each, all until we fail to have any, and
only then life becomes completely pointless
At the end I get back to the question “what is life to you? “My answer
my might be nonsense to some. Yet here is my answer: Life is nothing, life is all what I mentioned and more, it’s an enigma, a
secret to be lived not to be questioned, as if we dig deeper we will
bury life in our minds, then life would be nothing.
Wanna know who's loving this? THIS GIRL RIGHT HERE! You seriously have no clue how much you just helped me. If I cite you can I use a few parts of this in my English paper? I have a preset saying from Socrates and it's about life and this just summed up my entire essay! you also helped me because I was just thinking of ways to do something other than write about my sad emotions and when I read this I got a pretty good idea... I'm still "revising" the idea but when it's completed I will let you know about it :) Great write btw!
i love this piece! so intriguing! and the comparisons (my favorite use of words in writing). and to me: "life is not what matters, it's the after life that does"
Hmmmm... life is the the path we choose to walk, run, create, destroy, enjoy, or just watch passing by. I love every single thought in here!! It's great how you put the topic into different perspectives and angles.

First larger letters for the old folks. Life is a great mystery. I found paradise and hell in the same few minutes. I believe we should be kind and do the best we can in a life. No real books with direction to live by. A very good question. Man had been trying to figure out for many years. A very good chapter.

Nicely reasoned (and unreasoned) a wide variety of viewpoints presented concisely, I would challenge one assertion - everythingmight be chemical reactions except for thoughts and memories and all untouchables - thoughts and memories are chemical reactions as well, electrical discharges and protein strings in our brains, so I think you could take the except line out.
