There in my alcoholic shield I hide

There I’m always free

Where meaningless are shame and pride

Where there’s only me

 

Unnamed, unlabeled, and unseen

Bounded by nothing even my mind

Strains of reality I can’t find

Where every word is what I mean

 

Away from the world they occupy

The one they’ve inherited

The one they’ve corrupted

The world where matters only I
