Fading echo (incomplete)A Chapter by M.Kilani
An echo is but a proof that there was a sound, it fades away in time, a grave is a proof than a human was there, it doesn't fade so fast, but the memory of that person does.
We all want to be remembered after death, so that our existence does not go in vain, we work so hard to make our legacy, to leave a memory behind, we sacrifice good times, we drift away from everyone who loves us, everyone we love, to achieve our goals, all so that we won't be forgotten. What do we gain when we make this legacy, we'd be dead by the time it's complete, we leave our families and friends for that, work 14 to 18 hours a day, become the walking-dead, to leave a legacy when we are dead, to create this echo. Yet we forget something, we are forgotten alive, no one would remember you except for your employer, or employees, yes they'd remember you alive but would they remember you if your dead, while the ones you forgot alive would never forget you as you die. For an echo to last longer the sound has got to be strong, so is memory, it can't last long unless it was made strong, otherwise it would be another fading unheard echo.
