Thirsty amid the seaA Poem by M.Kilani
Waves carry me home
I can't dwell sea no more Send me a man among the norm Carry me to that golden shore How longer this ship can carry me More than days it's seen storms Widowed hundreds so it roams As I sail in the darkest sea Open ocean yet never free One day calm, another in rage Vast and wide, as an empty page Yet no other place to be You can outrun devil; outrun Lucifer for one to live one must suffer Oh bloody sea, your love is a crime Still I can't out run the hands of time Would you be my spacious grave Would you burry me now Would you take me to my awe With the next wave Or to her arms will you take me For oceans I see in her eyes Your waves are safer than her cries And I'll always be the thirsty man amid the sea
