Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by Michael Deshields

Ambition and Determination
It plagues the nation
Doing more harm then good
Those who are fueled by greed
Feel misunderstood
We judge others before
We judge ourselves
She should be able to hold her hand
As well as he holds his hand
The world is starving
And the only way it would be satisfied
Is if we establish peace
Something so precious
It's like a rare steak
In which the meat falls off the bone
Makes you reminisce of a safe haven
Called home
The hunger that the world desires
Should be an inspiration
To woman and man
To put down there
Weapons and join hands
Then the world would
Be full of joy and prosperity
One day you will all realize
Chaos is our common enemy

Hunger for more than food...
Liked the whole of it.
But the layout made it a bit difficult to read for my taste.
