Dear Death

Dear Death

A Poem by Kidasharranah

Dear Death,

We have never truly met, Death. but we have been close enough to meeting.

You have taken some of my own family, and i will not hate you.

You are doing your Job...

but if you will be  so kind to let me ask...

I wonder Death, if you Chose this job your meant to do.

If you like killing mothers and fathers, grandparents and friends, sisters and brothers?

Do you work for yourself? Do you choose which people to kill every day?

Or do you have a boss? like the rest of us do?

Were you once a normal person like the rest of us?

Are you a guide also, traveling back and forth to afterlife and back to the earth?

Bestowing upon people the kiss of death... do you let them choose when to go?

Or do you have to take the unwilling ones too?

Do you care wether their friends and family cry?

Or do you just lock away all your regrets and sorry's?

Do you know all of life's secrets?

Or is it a mystery to even you?

Can you tell when someones about to die?

Or is our death already planned out and on a list?

Have you not wanted to take a persons life, but have to do it anyway?

Right now all i have to say is that when its my time, i'll go gladly!

For the secrets ill uncover will be heard,

and for the life unheard of you, ill know, and be there too!

Sincerely a curious girl!
