Turn you in our dance of sinA Poem by Kiari SabonEyes
upon the flesh. Teeth
sharpened to strike you. Death
waiting to take on you. But
first comes our dance. I
listen to the flutter of your heart. Eyes
close upon the longing. I, the
shadow, step out from behind. Then
your head starts to spin. I’m
drawing you, pulling you in. You
find it easy to dance in this tune of sin. I know
the dance is over. I knew
I would win. It’s
over now, so I’ll make you my kin. So you
may always dance in sin. (This
is what you told me in my last breathes of life. But in my first breath of
death you were never seen again. You left me alone to be cold and to dance in
my own tune of sin.) © 2012 Kiari SabonReviews
