a slave to loveA Poem by Kiari SabonYou once called my name, I still call yours through closed lips and shuddered pains. You teased my brain and tempted my flesh, but you partook of it not. We whispered loving names. Oh such loving names. Then one day you told me to cut out my love for you… so I did and with binding spells I placed what I felt for you in those you would partake in, in every way. You knew what I was doing and demanded I place more of my love for you within them. I became empty all the time… You my strigoi master and I a half-blood demon your lap dog. I worked my magicks at your command placing my soul within every spell. I worked and still do for you to the point I think it’s possible to die from lack of mana. I do it so because I love you. But you don’t love me. You make me remove the pains of those you do care for and to make those pains my own. I would bleed for you, but you would be the one to wound me. I would die for you, but you would be the one holding the dagger that precise my chest. I care for you, but you use me. You tell me I know nothing of the pains love brings you, but I do because you cause my pains. But the love I have for you I can’t remove… it always returns… Why do I love you… I may never know.. but I do… and I could never forget you… © 2012 Kiari SabonFeatured Review
