Long ago when I saw you my heart would flutter my hands would shake. Now my heart turns to ash and my hands just stay in my pocket. You kept me safe and happy for a time. Then you crossed the line you tried to control my mind. My heart was not enough so I took my heart and turned to leave. You grabbed me and tried to take my mind, soul, and heart for your own. You thought you could make me love you by force. You yelled until you were hoarse. You wouldn’t let my heart go, so I shoved you down and ripped out your own. Now forever more you leave me alone.
