Time of judgement

Time of judgement

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

As time ticks away,

What can you really say that you’ve done?

Fell to sorrow?

Shuddered in pain?

What did you really gain.

Once you stepped out of the dark your thrust back in,

Taking one step forward and two steps back.

Did you reach the edge?

Did you jump to escape your hell?

Or did you grip the edge in helpless desperation?

Either way you fell.

And now it’s the weighing of hearts.

And time to judge.

Will it be right or wrong?

What will be your eternal life?

 Salvation?

Or forever damn nation?
