demon hunter and the hunted

demon hunter and the hunted

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

I hear you there

I feel your stare

Your claws cutting into bark and the trees you knock from your path

Your breath must be cold

You reek of death

You flex your jaw and clatter your teeth

I don’t fear you

I don’t fear death for I’m dead inside why not outside

You need me one way or another

You want me dead and alive

I have decided I will face you

I will wait till my family is not at risk

Come out demon and face me now

But first I ask you are you the one that has brought my life crashing down

It does not matter in the end for your hunting me and my kin

Now come under stars light and meet your end
