what came with time

what came with time

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

What happened to all the gentlemen

They never seem to come around

Now there only seem to be men that want you to drop your pants to the ground

I say no sir your hands may not explore

To many pains I have endured

I will not be pushed to the floor once more

Where are all the gentlemen anymore

Will anyone help me from the floor

No the men spit in my face and call me a w***e and push me to the floor

No sir I am not a w***e you are the one that pushed me to this floor

You scuffed my face and tore my heart among other things

It has been years and now I’m a lady and again I ask

Where are the gentlemen anymore

And the reply is your beautiful now come on I want to score

Where are the gentlemen anymore…

Of flesh I desire not but of mind

I love no more what can’t love back and only pushes you to the floor

I will not submit to a beast that calls himself a man

Where are the gentlemen anymore

as i was reading this i recalled a scene in my book where a character said, "there are a lot of good women out there, it is the number of good men that is little to bring them out."
It is true that men go around giving women names and lower them yet it is them who in daily basis ruin every single female they come across. This piece has some intense truth in it and i have to say this is some really good writing plus i applaud you for writing out of ordinary subjects we see on this site daily...

that it does also cool profile pic
This poem is so full of emotions. You wrote now I’m a lady, you were and are ALWAYS a lady, a lady does not stop being a lady because an idiot acts like a jerk. Real men don't treat a woman like anything less then a lady.

I feel the pain in this write..but also hope. There are gentlemen out there, lovely kind and wonderful ones and who value a lady.

powerful write.!

This to me sounds like the struggle of emotions after being raped or abused by a man. When a person is suppose to love you violates you, it tares the heart and confuses the mind. It is something that takes time to deal with. Where are the gentlemen anymore is an outstanding line in this piece. This poem is done well and the emotions come clearly shining through.
