Turning dreams

Turning dreams

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

I keep moving on this set track of blacktop

Passing the trees and field of green

That turn bright yellow and red

And soon brown and dead

Just like them I can’t get ahead

We grow full and strong

Then fall comes along and ruins it all

Bringing us down from our peak in time

And soon we are dead

Our hopes and dreams swept away by blowing wind

We are nothing but the husk of an empty dream

Crushed by the turning of the world

As it never was, everything remains. Something I`ve come to terms with myself... Nice write.
