Music is but a fleeting momentA Poem by Ki Rider
A storm rolls in, my hands hit the keys.
In a flurry of motion the music flows. Nothing exist, yet everything breathes. One, two and back again. The notes rise and fall slowly than faster and faster. My heart pounds, while the wind screams. A crack of thunder, a flash of lightning, the song goes on. I feel each surge of power. I feel each note. Tears stream down my cheeks. I play in time with each tear drop. My thoughts are blank. All I feel is the music. I wish for it to take me far away. To take me from here. I don't wish to exist, but with each breath I take and release I feel alive. The music reaches the climax and with one final burst of energy I pound the keys. The thunder roars with me. Then softly I hear the storm fade. The music slows. Time returns. I slowly look up. Take in my surroundings. The last note plays and the sunshine peeks through the window. My tears continue. My body exhausted. My heart weary, I bow my head and just breath. For the song is done and with it my heart had opened. One last tear drop rolls down my cheeks. If only the music could continue on. However, Music is but a fleeting moment in swirling choas of life.
