Morning Rose

Morning Rose

A Poem by VR Zette

Sitting down in a silent corridor,
Thinking things inside my head.
I didn't mean to open the door,
Yet "Let me in", you said.

My rose covered with your morning dew.
Stems of my body seemed pale.
My heart painted with your loving hue,
And accepting me, you never fail.

Everything that you are is what I am.
Everything that you are is what encourages my soul.
Everything that you are is what caresses my palm,
And everything that you are is what made me whole.

I don't mind having sleepless nights.
I don't mind having slow days.
I don't mind having endless frights,
As long as you're with me in my ways.

The morning glow shines upon me,
As you hold me in your dreams.
My heart pounds, so free,
And my mind, in ever after, it gleams.

A rose who doesn't care if it shivers.
A rose who loves truly.
A rose filled with fevers,
And a rose who decides freely.

Our distance won't matter to me.
Our numbers won't care to whatever we do.
We just have to let it be,
Let our love paint the morning dew.

I know that I am a rose, so unique and wild.
Yet a thorn like you, loved me freely.
You said that I'm more of a beauty and mild,
Than something that I thought myself, so silly.
